iPhone 15 Pro Second-Hand Price in India: What It Is Worth in 2026
The iPhone 15 Pro has seen three new models come out since its launch: the iPhone 16 in September 2024, the iPhone 17 in September 2025, and the iPhone 18 just last month. Each release pushed its second-hand price down a bit more.
The latest price drop just happened, so your options have changed. If you waited to sell before the iPhone 18 launch, that chance is gone. But if you want to buy, this is why the iPhone 15 Pro is a better deal now than it was in August.
What the Market Actually Shows Right Now
Checked on 3 October 2026. These are real listings from other companies, not our own quotes.

Private and marketplace listings (ORUphones, 229 listings live): The full spread runs from Rs. 38,000 to Rs. 68,990. Most units are graded "Good". One 128GB listed as "Like New" sat at Rs. 45,000.
Certified refurbished with a warranty (Ovantica): 128GB in "Superb" grade, Rs. 68,999, with a one year warranty and a replacement window.
Here’s what those prices really mean. You might notice some 256GB phones are listed for less than some 128GB ones. That’s not a mistake. For a phone this old, things like battery health, screen condition, and repair history matter more than storage size.
So, don’t trust any guide that claims one storage option is always the best choice. The actual condition of the phone you’re looking at is more important than whether it has 128GB or 256GB.
We don’t publish our own price table because used iPhone prices change quickly. A price from August is outdated by October, and prices drop right after a new launch. For an accurate value, use a live calculator for your exact model, storage, and condition, then compare it with current listings. It only takes a couple of minutes and is more reliable than any price range in an article.
You’ll often hear that you should sell before the next iPhone launch. That’s usually good advice and is the most important timing tip for any phone sale.
But that advice doesn’t apply to your situation right now.
The iPhone 18 launched on 9 September 2026, and reached India on 18 September. The step down that came with it has already happened. That was three weeks ago.
If you were waiting to sell before the launch, that chance has passed. Waiting any longer will only lower your price, since regular depreciation continues.
If you plan to sell in the next year, it’s better to do it sooner. Prices drop every month, and battery health goes down whether you use the phone or not. The next big price drop will come in September 2027.
If you’re buying, the weeks right after a new launch are the best time to get a good deal.
Here’s a rough order of what affects the price the most.
Battery health. On a phone that is three years old, this is the largest single variable and the one most owners have never checked. Settings, then Battery, then Battery Health and Charging. Two units that look identical with different battery figures are not worth the same, and the gap widens with age.
There is a detail worth knowing. A battery replaced by Apple or an authorised service provider reads as genuine and supports the price. A third-party replacement triggers an "Unknown Part" warning in Settings that the next owner can see, and that reduces the value rather than restoring it. If the battery needs replacing before a sale, authorised or not at all.
Whether the Apple ID has been removed. This is a cliff, not a deduction. A phone still signed in to an Apple ID is iCloud locked. It cannot be activated by anyone, so it loses nearly all of its worth whatever its condition. Sign out and switch off Find My iPhone before selling. If the screen is unusable, remove the device remotely at appleid.apple.com under Devices.
Screen condition. The most expensive component and the first thing any inspection looks at. A cracked display moves the phone down a whole grade.
Frame and back glass. The titanium frame on this generation holds up noticeably better than the stainless steel on the 14 Pro, which works in your favour. Back glass damage is real but generally costs less than a cracked front display on the same phone.
Storage variant. 128GB and 256GB are both common and both easy to sell. 512GB is worth more but has a thinner buyer pool, which can make it slower to move.
Box, cable and invoice. They add to the figure and speed up verification. AppleCare still running adds more.
We haven’t listed exact rupee amounts for these factors. The deductions depend on the phone’s current value, so a fixed number wouldn’t be accurate for everyone. Anyone giving a specific rupee deduction for a scratch is just guessing.
Why This Model Holds Up Better Than Its Age Suggests
Three years on, one thing matters more than the rest.
The A17 Pro chip supports all Apple Intelligence features, and it’s the oldest chip that does. The iPhone 14 Pro doesn’t have this. That’s the main reason demand for the iPhone 15 Pro has stayed strong, even as it gets older.
Alongside that: a 6.1 inch Super Retina XDR display with 120Hz ProMotion and Always On, the 48MP main camera with a 3x telephoto, the first titanium iPhone frame, USB-C, and the Action Button.
iOS updates are expected to continue for several more years, which is something buyers look for. Apple doesn’t give a fixed end date, so consider this a good estimate, not a guarantee.
It launched in India in September 2023 at Rs. 1,34,900 for the 128GB.
Buying One Used: What to Check
Battery health above 85 percent, and ask whether the battery has been replaced. If it has, ask by whom, and look for a service warning in Settings.
Activation lock. The phone must reach the setup screen without asking for a previous owner's Apple ID. If the seller will not let you power it up and walk to that screen, walk away.
IMEI status. Check it free through the government CEIR service before paying.
Unknown Part warnings in Settings, which flag non-genuine display or battery replacements.
The frame and the corners, not just the screen. Corner damage suggests a drop hard enough to have done internal damage too.
Should you buy refurbished or from a private seller? Certified refurbished phones with a one-year warranty cost more than private listings. The extra cost is worth it if you don’t want to check everything yourself. If you’re not confident with the checks, paying for the warranty makes
Before You Sell
Follow these steps in order. Doing them right is what makes sure your sale goes through.
1. Back up your data, and verify the backup by signing in on another device.
2. Move your authenticator app to your new phone if you use one for login codes.
3. Sign out of your Apple ID. Settings, your name, Find My, switch off Find My iPhone, then Sign Out.
4. Remove the SIM and any eSIM profile. A factory reset does not always clear an eSIM.
5. Then erase the phone. Settings, General, Transfer or Reset iPhone, Erase All Content and Settings.
If you reset the phone before signing out, Activation Lock will keep it tied to your account. The next owner won’t be able to set it up, and the sale can’t go through. This is the most common reason sales fail, even when the phone is in perfect shape.
6. Find the box, cable and invoice, remove the case and screen protector so the real condition is visible, and describe any faults accurately. An honest description is what keeps the quote you were given the same as the amount you are paid.
Our checklist of things to do before you sell a phone covers each step.
Getting the Best Price
Check your battery health and state the figure when you get a quote.
Don’t fix cosmetic damage before selling. Replacing the screen often costs more than it adds to the value, and using a non-genuine part can lower the price even more. Just be honest about any damage. The only exception is a swollen battery, which is a safety risk and should always be replaced.
Get more than one quote. Check a buyback service and compare it against live classifieds listings for the same variant. Our comparison of where to sell a phone in India covers the options, including the ones that are not us.
Don’t wait to sell. The big price drop after the launch has already happened, but regular depreciation is still ongoing.
FAQs
1. What is the iPhone 15 Pro second-hand price in India?
It moves, and it has just moved again. The iPhone 18 launched on 9 September 2026 and stepped used prices down. Checked on 3 October 2026, live marketplace listings ran from about Rs. 38,000 to Rs. 69,000 across conditions and storage, and certified refurbished units with a warranty sat near the top of that. Any figure published before mid-September is pre-drop pricing. Use a calculator for your exact phone and cross-check against current listings.
2. Has the iPhone 18 launch already affected the price?
Yes. It launched on 9 September 2026 and reached India on 18 September. The step down has happened. If you were holding on to sell before it, that window has closed.
3. Which storage variant is the best buy?
There is no single answer, and be wary of guides that give one. In the listings we checked, some 256GB units were priced below some 128GB units. On a three year old phone the condition of the individual device matters more than the storage tier.
4. Does battery health affect the price?
More than anything else on a phone this age, and it is the first thing an inspection checks. A battery replaced by Apple or an authorised provider supports the price. A third-party replacement triggers a service warning in Settings that the next owner sees, and reduces it.
5. Should I replace the battery before selling?
Only through Apple or an authorised service provider. A cheap third-party replacement can leave the phone worth less than it was with the original degraded battery, because the warning cannot be removed and the part cannot be verified.
6. What happens if my Apple ID is still on the phone?
It is iCloud locked and cannot be activated by anyone else, so it loses nearly all of its value whatever its condition. Sign out and switch off Find My iPhone before selling. If the screen is unusable, remove the device at appleid.apple.com.
7. When should I sell it?
Sooner rather than later. The next launch step down is September 2027, prices fall continuously in between, and battery health declines whether the phone is used or not.
8. Is it worth buying used in 2026?
It is the oldest iPhone that runs the full Apple Intelligence feature set, thanks to the A17 Pro, and it has ProMotion, a 3x telephoto, titanium and USB-C. Three years in, with the post-launch drop just behind it, it is among the better value Pro options. Check battery health, activation lock and IMEI before paying.
9. Second-hand or certified refurbished?
Refurbished costs more and comes with a warranty and a quality check. A private sale is cheaper and comes with neither. If you are not confident checking battery health, activation lock, IMEI and part warnings yourself, the warranty earns its premium.
10. Can I sell one with a cracked screen or a dead battery?
Yes, at a lower figure. Damaged iPhones hold value better than damaged budget phones because demand for the parts is strong. Declare the damage accurately when you get the quote so the number does not change at collection.
